Visit the Legacy Centre to explore the area’s rich history or spend the afternoon at an active archaeological dig, all while surrounded by ocean views and hiking trails.
Cupids Cove
Plantation Site
A five-minute walk from the Legacy Centre, you’ll find the remains of John Guy's 1610 settlement. This active dig and designated Provincial Historic Site is one of the most important archaeological discoveries in Canada.

Nestled in a scenic harbour along the coast of Conception Bay North, Cupids is home to the first permanent English settlement in Canada.
